Arrhythmic causes of syncope. A. Sinus rhythm in a patient with unexplained syncope. In this patient, however, ventricular tachycardia (B) was inducible with ventrucular extrastimulation anu was the actual cause ol syncope. Control of ventricular tachycardia (VT) without a pacemaker was sufficient to prevent syncope in this patient. Termination of tachycardia and restoration of sinus rhythm are shown in B.
